Some Of My Favorite Kids Books

These are, in my opinion, some of the best children's books of all time:

The Apartment Book
This is a book like no other. It's funny and very imaginative. The book is a cutaway of a house with very extraordinary people in it. This is a great picture book. Readers will enjoy the hilarious characters

Encyclopedia Brown
The books in this series are great. They not only include a good story, they also have the reader solve the mystery. These books have very challenging problems and interesting characters. Although the books are for younger readers, I still love to read them.

Are You Smarter Than The Cat in The Hat
This book is very funny and is probably one of Dr. Suess' best books. The questions are hilarious. Children and adults alike will love this book.

The Five Chinese Brothers
Here's a book worth reading. The characters are the probably some of the most extraordinary people I've ever heard of. The story is interesting and is excellently told.

Green Eggs and Ham
Who can't like this book? It's funny and shows you don't know if you don't like something until you try it.

Goodnight Moon and Guess How Much I Love You
There's something about these two books that makes readers love them. They're simple, yet lovable in every way.

Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes
This is a hilarious twist to the fairy tales everyone loves. The stories are great. This is a must have for any reader.

Where the Sidewalk Ends
Shel Silverstien is a truly talented writer. His book Where the Sidewalk Ends is an amazing collectible. Whether your in the mood for poetry, or just something to read in your spare time, this will probably be the first book you pick up.

If I Owned the Zoo and If I Owned the Circus
Crazy animals and characters. Amazing sights and wonders. Visit the Circus or the Zoo, being run by the most imaginative children alive.

How to Eat Fried Worms
Gross, yet brilliant, this is a great book.

Hello Red Fox
Eric Carl has probably made his best book. Hello Red Fox uses "Magic" to reveal the true color of characters, literally.

The Missing Piece and The Missing Piece Meets the Big O
These books are two of my favorite Shel Silverstien books. They are imaginative and expertly written.

The Lego Book
Legos are genius and so is the book. Detailed description on the history of Legos, cool creations, great toys. This book is essential for any Lego builder.

The BFG
The Big Friendly Giant is another amazing book by Roald Dahl. a Giant that doesn't eat kids. What does he eat? Snozzcumbers. What's more, he's friends with a little girl, Sophie.

I have loads more, but I'll leave you here. Until next time,
Justin Cruz

Homeschool

Unschooling is a great way to learn. I can choose what I want to do and try things I wouldn't usually do at school. I can do Lapbooks, IStories, and I can even make my own Video Game. I use the internet to learn as well as the local library. For example, if I'm learning about game design I can look up how to make a game. I'd rent books on jobs available in that area. I'd even find a good engine and try making a game. While studying Ben Franklin, I can make letterpress stamps and a lemon battery, or do a lapbook on the biography of Ben Franklin. I get along easier learning what I want to learn. I can do projects I wouldn't do in school and I wouldn't have to use a textbook. Textbooks can be boring and only provide what is needed and not any extra info on a topic or subject. I wouldn't forget what I learned after a test because it's something I want to know. I'm at home so I can do things like washing the car or yard work to earn money too. I can save for things I want as well as learn skills I'll actually need.
